Form of Government

Republic. They elect their king.

Terrain & Climate

In the high altitudes of the Krohnos
Mountains, the Republic of Krohn
endured harsh snowstorms. It was the
perfect training grounds for Wizards
to break and rebuild muscle tissue and
magical abilities.

Currently, it's a crater haunted by
whispers of the dead, very different
from Elementals.

Populace

In the early years of their race and
nation, Wizards had a very structured
society. Women and men dwelled in
different houses and attended
different schools of Wizardry. Only
during the Festival of Creation did
they mix, and that was only to produce
offspring.

At that time, Wizard children were
raised from birth in boarding schools,
seperated by gender, away from their
parents. Historians and psycholists
hypothesize that the harsh upbringing
of Wizard children led to the brutal
wars of that time.

Some believe the Wizards' infatuation
with the Hybrid Empresses of the Onyx
Empire was due to Wizard males' unmet
needs, caused by the separation of
genders in their culture. Wizards
argue it was a selfish desire of their
predacessors to strengthen their gene
pool.

After the War of Magics, and sinking
of Krohn by Emperor Vestice, Wizards
no longer had the luxury to seperate
their genders. This led to nuclear
family structure and an evolution of
their culture. Wizard wars ceased
while they rebuilt their new nation
over the top of Tarsol - Kalvi, which
was later destroyed.

Note from Ness

My husband picked the name in honor
friends of ours. Originally, I'd
called this Wizard place - the Sunken
City, in a story of a later time
period. In
Guardian of the Onyx
Empire
, however, the Wizard nation of
Krohn is still standing.
