Heroine

The idea for Ceres (Sr.) came from my first novel,
which hides in my hard drive. I'd only briefly
mentioned Ceres Sr. as the family history in that
first work. But a person isn't complete without
the depth of her family history. Events before
your birth helped shape you, and it's the same for
Ceres' daughter.

Ceres (Sr.), the Elven heroine of Quest into the
Forbidden,is a compilation of magic and traits I
admire in actresses from old Hollywood. I love
their cool demeanor and polished elegance.

Hero

Holt has the overconfidence and drive of the man
on the Eight of Cups tarot card. I watched 80's
movies for the body language of men fixated on
success and trophies. That made Holt completely
opposite to Ceres' grace.

Villain

Ceres' father, Andraste, has been a character in
progress from my first novel. This Elven king
changes throughout the stories as he learns from
his mistakes, but at this time he's ignorant.
Unfortunately, the darkest depth of his ignorance
is yet to come.
